Breath of life ministryThis ministry provides education & awareness for the prevention of suicide & the postvention support for the grief resulting from a death by suicide. The postvention curriculum, from The Catholic Mental Health Ministry, was created by Bishop John Dolan & Deacon Ed Shoener, both survivors of family members lost due to suicide. The curriculum consists of 8 sessions that will allow members to work through grief with a counselor present.

There will be monthly men’s group, women’s group & youth group meetings that will be facilitated by licensed counselors from Catholic Charities of Central Texas (CCCtx). As well as trained lay ministers who will act as liaisons for the counselors & will provide prayer, emotional support & referrals for ministry members when needed.

Each year, we will have a dedicated remembrance Mass, held in September, Suicide Awareness Month, to further help in the healing process for those who grieve a loss.
